Lifting Hands International is looking for Music teachers to teach at our community centre. Experience teaching  is preferred but not essential, but you must be able to comit for a minimum of 30 days.  We are looking for people who can play Guitar and/or Piano.
We are based in Serres, about 1.5 hours away from Thessaloniki, and have a centre next to the camp where we provide the following for the camp residents, who are Yazidi refugees from Northern Iraq.

  • German Language Classes
  • English Lanugage Classes
  • Music Lessons (Piano, Guitar, Ukelele etc.)
  • Yoga & Fitness
  • Dance
  • Art/Crafts
  • Womens Centre
  • Childrens Activities (on weekends and Greek school holidays)

Our main music program consists of guitar and piano, but we are also able to facilitate ukulele and more general "band" practise with the residents. Volunteers would be required to teach for a few hours a day, and the remainder of the day will be spent either helping/teaching other lessons (depending on need and skill) or assisting with warehouse support and the distribution of aid to the camp.
We can provide accommodation in our apartments for 150 euros per month, including all bills.
