Dear OUTDOOR & ENVIRONMENT lovers:
Lighthouse ECO Relief is looking for volunteers at Skala Sikaminias... the more the merrier!
Welcome to the other side of the humanitarian crisis. Let's help the island become a natural paradise again and have fun while doing it. We spend the mornings cleaning the shorelines on foot, with ropes, kayaks and by boat.
Departure 8:30am everyday from Lighthouse camp.
Everyone welcome even just for one day if you full fill the requirements below.
REQUIEMENTS to join the clean ups:
-Packed lunch & 2 Lts of water minimum. (reusable bottle of water)
-Be ready for a 1-hr hike: rucksack, appropriate footwear; both hiking boots and water shoes (preferably kayak or canyoneering shoes)
-Working gloves
-Swimming suit
-Sun protection (sun hat and glasses)
-Rubbish bags
-Check the weather and dress ad hoc!
-Whatsapp Peta Brunel 24hrs in advance
IDEAL to bring:
-4x4 vehicule
-Kayaks
-Diving knifes
-Diving gear & gloves
-Find accommodation in Skala Sikaminias.
-A boat and skipper license :D
-Good chocolate ;)
-Speakers for music
We urgently need long term:
-Clean up Team Leaders. (ML, Climbers, Divers & Kayakers)
-Drivers with their own 4x4 vehicle (and of course license)
-Greek, Arab, Farsi, Urdo, Dari Speakers
-Fundraisers
-Skippers
-Medical Staff
-Tailors & Designers (for Upcycling project)
*Volunteers must be able to cover the cost of all expenses of their time Lesbos.
