While this has been ongoing for a while we now want to share this with you. DTL has been working with a UNHCR "connectivity coordinator" to plan the provision of internet access to the recently established refugee camps in mainland Greece.
There are a large number of locations and we have agreed to take on the ones in the Attica region.
This is a total of *12* camps of varying size.
Such a large number of locations brings significant challenges and we are addressing some of these by partnering with local, Greek organisations.
However in order to complete all the installation work and provide people on the ground to provide support for this network we need to recruit a significant number of volunteers who will be able to travel to and stay in the Attica region for at least a 2 week period over the coming 6 months.
