We need programme coordinators, who can work with us online and based anywhere. They will manage our volunteer activists and field contacts working on our page (facebook.com/asylumlinkseu).
Our online volunteer activists answer questions that come on our Facebook page and direct people to the services ( medical, employment, legal and housing ) where they can get further support. We also advocate with EU institutions, UN agencies, Government Officials, Camp Managers and field workers about living conditions in the different sites.
We can potentially receive around 200 messages per day, and we need to coordinate better to meet the demand coming from the countries we are operating in like Greece, France, Serbia, Italy, Hungary, Macedonia and the UK. Right now we are around 20 volunteers, from North America, Europe, Australia and the Middle East, but we need to reach at least 70 soon we start also in Turkey, Iraq and elsewhere.
No previous experience or particular language skill is necessary, just compassion and absolute confidentiality about the content you'll interact with. You'll receive training and constant support. It can be an emotionally demanding task but it's also very rewarding. If you speak Arabic, Farsi/Dari, Pashto, Urdu, or any Kurdish language it's fantastic and you don't need to speak English fluently but just a little bit. You'll NOT be asked to deal with (boring) admin but just with case work, programme management and advocacy and just a bit of fundraising occasioanally.
If you have at least 8 hours (on average, it’s very flexible) per week for roughly the next 3 months, you can apply as a Program Coordinator and help us with volunteers coordination and training, advocacy and recruitment.
We are a group of volunteers in solidarity with our clients seeking international protection , and we are applying for UK registered charity status. You'll learn to manage a small Human Rights / International Development Organisation. You will be evaluated and evaluate our work regularly and you will have the chance to work with migrants and refugee clients all around Europe and in the Middle East.
Please contact, Demi, m.me/demetrio.martinez, or Aqsa, m.me/aqsa.khalid2015, or Barbara, m.me/barbara.orozco.921 , or leave a message on facebook.com/asylumlinkseu , m.me/asylumlinkseu , or email firstname.lastname@example.org (sorry in advance we are bit slower on emails). So we can discuss better how we can work together. Please contact us only when you are ready to start immediately for three months for at least 8 hours on average (very flexible) per week.
Please read our AL Introduction Document to understand more how you can work with us.
