Volunteer Assistant for the Office of Displaced Designers
Office of Displaced Designers is an architecture and design organisation that facilitates skills-sharing. We support multi-disciplinary projects related to and/ or impacting the built environment, protection issues, social cohesion, integration or cultural understanding. Our office is located in Mytilene centre on Lesvos (Greece) where we host workshops, classes and events for both displaced persons and locals.
We are looking for a creative volunteer to join our team and support a variety of projects. This is a varied role involving desk research, assisting on the design and facilitation of workshops, some administrative tasks, and supporting our participants with ongoing projects as required.
You will be part of a small international team with backgrounds in architecture + design, design education, user experience design and communications.
Our usual office hours are between 10am- 6pm, Monday-Saturday. However, activities often fall outside of these times and so you will need to be flexible.
● Minimum age: 21
● Minimum commitment: 2 weeks, minimum 20+ hrs /week (to be discussed)
● You must have relevant experience in research, design or workshop facilitation
● You must be a confident English speaker
● You will need to have an empathetic outlook and you must be reliable
